La sécurité autour du site de tournage de Squamish est renforcée au maximum. Comme l'indique The Vancouver Observer, la production aurait fait appel à des agents de police à la retraite et autres gardes du corps, pour empêcher toutes prises de photos ou vidéos du tournage de scènes tels que le mariage de Bella & Edward..

The Twilight wedding set in Squamish, B.C. has been placed under police protection. The producers of Breaking Dawn are apparently taking extreme precautions to keep secret the scenes in which real life lovers Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will marry. The security force is made up of retired RCMP officers. This isn't the first time the Twilight cast has turned to Canadian security for protection. As fan's lust for Twilight grows, movie by movie, keeping the juicy bits safe has become more difficult.

But it was never easy. In 2009, Robert Pattison was working on New Moonon a beach in Tofino when teenage girls came too close And Taylor Lautner had bodyguards around him when dining at the Fetch restaurant at the Black Rock Resort in Ucluelet last February, an eye witness reported. Lautner shrugged the bodyguards off to pose for a photograph with a local girl who was celebrating her thirteenth birthday. It's easy to guess that these bodyguards were associated with the RCMP as well.

A staff person's daughter was turning thirteen that night. Her father had booked a reservation way in advance for her daughter's special evening at the hotel's Fetch restaurant. The Fetch was closed to everyone except for the Twilight crew, but the father and daughter had booked so far in advance, they still got a table. When they entered the restaurant, there was Taylor Lautner himself. They tried to say hello. But Lautner had body guards around him. They stepped in the way. That didn't stop Lautner. He heard it was a thirteenth birthday celebration and said he'd come and say hello when he finished eating.

 Digital spy reports on the efforts of the movie crew to protect the privacy of the set:

Arial photographs show that thick white sheets have been pulled over the set of the Cullen family's mansion, where the marriage is reported to take place, while crew members have taken to following the cast with large umbrellas to prevent glimpses of their wedding attire.
